Where to Eat Near Avlaki & Kassiopi

Eating out is one of the great pleasures of a holiday in Corfu, and the northeast coast delivers wonderfully. From simple beachside tavernas serving the morning's catch to more polished restaurants with harbour views, there's something for every evening of your stay.

Taverna Avlaki

Right on the beach at Avlaki Bay, this family-run taverna is the definition of simple Greek dining done well. Fresh grilled fish, classic salads, and cold carafes of house white — all with your feet practically in the sand. It's our go-to for a lazy lunch after a morning swim.

Insider Tip

The grilled octopus is outstanding. Ask what fish came in that morning and go with whatever they recommend.

Petrino, Kassiopi

Set in a beautifully restored stone building overlooking Kassiopi harbour, Petrino is the area's most refined dining experience. The menu draws on traditional Greek cuisine with a contemporary touch. Reserve a table on the upper terrace for harbour views as the sun sets.

Eucalyptus, Agios Stephanos

A family-run favourite in the heart of Agios Stephanos. Eucalyptus is known for generous portions of home-cooked Corfiot specialities — the pastitsada and sofrito are both excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable.

Cavo Barbaro

The top-rated restaurant in Avlaki on TripAdvisor, and it's easy to see why. Cavo Barbaro sits right on the beach with shaded tables and panoramic views across the bay — stunning at sunset. The menu covers traditional Greek favourites done very well, from saganaki and octopus to slow-cooked lamb and beautifully fresh fish. The staff are wonderfully warm and welcoming, and it's the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to night after night.

Agni Bay Tavernas

A special mention for the three waterfront restaurants at Agni Bay: Toula's, Nikolas, and Agni. Each has its own character, but all share the same magical setting. Arrive by water taxi for the full experience.

In Corfu, the best meals are the simplest — fresh fish, a Greek salad, and a view of the sea.

We recommend eating out at least four or five evenings during your stay. The rest of the time, the villa kitchen and barbecue are perfect for nights in — pick up fresh produce from the supermarket in Sinies or the market in Kassiopi.
