Agios Spyridon is one of the best sandy beaches on Corfu's north coast — a long, gently shelving shore with Blue Flag water and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Separated from the Antinioti Lagoon by a narrow strip of land, it has a slightly wild, unspoilt feel that sets it apart from the busier resorts. It's about twenty minutes from the villa and well worth a full day.

Arrive & Set Up
Get there mid-morning to claim a good spot. There's plenty of parking right behind the beach. Hire a couple of sunbeds and an umbrella, spread out, and settle in. The beach is long enough that it never feels crowded, even in high season.
Tip
Bring water shoes if you want to explore the rockier end of the beach, but the main stretch is soft sand all the way in.

Morning Swim
The water here is shallow and warm, sloping gently for a good distance — ideal for families with children. The sand underfoot continues well out into the sea, so little ones can paddle safely. For adults, it's wonderfully clear for a long, relaxed swim.

There's a good taverna right on the beach serving fresh Greek food — grilled fish, salads, cold beers, the usual essentials. Sit in the shade with your feet in the sand and take a long, unhurried lunch. This is what a Corfu beach day is all about.

Pedalos & the Lagoon
After lunch, hire a pedalo for a gentle drift along the coastline, or walk to the far end of the beach to see the Antinioti Lagoon — a protected wetland separated from the sea by a thin strip of sand. It's a surprisingly peaceful spot, full of birdlife and well worth the short stroll.

Afternoon on the Beach
Return to your sunbeds for the best part of the day. The afternoon light on this stretch of coast is beautiful, the water is at its warmest, and the beach starts to empty as the day-trippers leave. Stay as long as you like — there's no reason to rush back.
Agios Spyridon is one of those beaches that rewards a full day rather than a quick visit. Pack everything you need, leave the itinerary loose, and let the day unfold at its own pace.
